Technology

Each time the Gift Card is presented at point of sale for topping up, balance checking or to be used against a purchase, the barcode on the card is scanned which sends a query to our System Server. The query or transaction is validated and recorded, and the sale proceeds in the normal way. This internet based operation enables Gift Cards to be used across several stores, or even for different companies to have a shared Gift Card scheme.

Touchretail’s SOLO system is based on the market-leading professional Stock Control and EPOS solutions already in use at some of the country’s top retailers. The SOLO package has been specifically developed to provide the smaller independent retailer with a very functional robust solution that works ‘out of the box’.

In your SOLO solution you receive a high quality EPOS touch screen terminal pre-installed with a standard copy of the Touchretail POS software, all EPOS peripherals (barcode scanner, receipt printer and cash drawer), a version of Rapidstock stock control, consumables pack and a full year software support. ‘Getting Started’ and ‘Reporting’ documentation packs are also included in the package.

The SOLO solution can be used for most retail busineses, and has a special style/colour/size Matrix facility for fashion or footwear based retailers (including analysis by season, supplier, fabric/style type and so on).

And if your business expands in the future, it’s simple to upgrade SOLO to the standard Rapidstock suite of software, without any re-keying of data!
